Recently restored by the Origin architecture firm and officially inaugurated by the municipality of Saint-Gilles, its current owner, the Pelgrims House was originally a prestigious Eclectic mansion inspired by the Flemish Neo-Renaissance and designed in 1905 by architect Adolphe Pirenne for the Colson family. In 1927, the architect Fernand Petit expanded and transformed it at the request of pharmacist Pelgrims. It now features a Flemish Neo-Renaissance dining room and salon, an Art Deco washroom and winter garden, oak coffered ceilings, marble floors and panelling, blue stone inlaid with gold, stained-glass windows and a multitude of little surprises for lovers of heritage great and small.
