This Beaux-Arts mansion on Rue du Collège Saint-Michel, near Avenue de Tervueren, was designed in 1907 by architect Henri Van Leuven. The large façade is characterised by a grand entrance that used to serve as a coach passage allowing the commissioner, Louis Du Pont, to ride his horse to the Royal Military School. Inside, a remarkably voluminous central staircase connects all the living spaces. Mirrors adorn the stairs and a vast skylight composed of mixed stained glass bathes the prestigious entranceway in colour. The mansion remains carefully preserved by its occupants, true heritage lovers.
